The exhibition “From Touch to Click – the History of Automatic Music” brought together sound machines and mechanical instruments that allowed the dissemination of music without the physical presence of musicians. Through automatons, barrel organs, music boxes, pianolas, phonographs and gramophones – to portable digital systems – the show portrays the development of technological resources from different periods, tracing a historical and social panorama of automatic music.
