For each issue, pieces of art and photograph – often unpublished in Brazil – are presented. Essays of brazilian and foreign authors discuss art and culture in general. Serrote also publishes political, scientific, sports and current affair essays.

Issue 23 of Serrote was lauched during FLIP 2016 – 14th Paraty International Literary Festival. Rico Lins illustrated cover and Jean-Paul Sartre’s text describing his experience with mescaline.
