Invited by the Iranian Morteza Majidi to create a poster in defense of freedom in Iran, I decided to pay homage to the international protest of women cutting their hair as a sign of resistance to the authoritarian abuses in the country. The poster can be pasted upside down or right side up, emphasizing the word ‘freedom’ in English or Persian, entangled in the strands of hair.
